Haydn Society of North America
Call for proposals: Work-in-Progress Presentation
The Haydn Society of North America (HSNA) promotes new research of topics related to Haydn and his contemporaries. We invite proposals for a presentation regarding scholarly work in progress to be given at the HSNA business meeting, scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 12:15-1:45, during the 2017 AMS Annual Meeting in Rochester. The presentation should be 30-35 minutes, allowing adequate time for a lively discussion among our members, and helpful suggestions from our exceptionally knowledgeable colleagues.
A written version of the presentation will be published in the fall 2017 issue of HAYDN: Online Journal of the Haydn Society of North America (haydnjournal.org) and will be made available the week before the presentation, giving our members the opportunity to formulate ideas for discussion. An honorarium of $250 will be awarded to the presenter to help offset travel expenses.
Please send proposals (.docx or .pdf preferred) via email to email@example.com, by July 15, 2017. Complete proposals should include a cover page with the author's/presenter's name, postal address, telephone number, email address, and the presentation's title, an abstract of up to 300 words, and a representative bibliography of the project. The author of the project selected will be notified by July 30, and the written form of the presentation for publication should be completed by late August, in order to facilitate publishing in early November. Please contact Mary Sue Morrow (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions.
