Perspectives on Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven, in honor of H. C. Robbins Landon Centenary
Boston University and Berklee College of Music, 5-7 March 2026
Conference Registration
The Haydn Society of North America, Mozart Society of America, Boston University Musicology Department, Berkeley College of Music, and School of Performing Arts of the Rochester Institute of Technology, are happy to co-sponsor this even in honor of the 100th birthday of H. C. Robbins Landon. We will begin Thursday evening with a viewing of some of the Landon Collection at the BU Mugar Memorial Library. Friday will be held at Boston University and include paper sessions, a lecture-performance of Haydn’s keyboard works, and two keynote addresses by Elaine Sisman and Robert Winter, followed by a reception at Cornwall’s Tavern and the Boston Baroque performance of Haydn’s “Lord Nelson” Mass at NEC’s Jordan Hall. Saturday’s events will be held at the Berklee College of Music, and include papers, a roundtable by members of the Mozart Society of America, and finally a discussion session for attendees to close the conference. Presentation Abstracts can be viewed and downloaded here.
There is no conference registration fee for HSNA and MSA members, and students, but we ask that you register by noon Saturday, February 21, in order to reserve your concert ticket (we have 30; graciously underwritten by the RIT School of Performing Arts) and so we can get an accurate count for the reception and coffee breaks. To register, please download and fill out this registration form and email it as an attachment to Michael Ruhling (mergsl@rit.edu) by the registration deadline.
If you are not a member of either society, please become a member of one or both before completing your registration. You can do so through the following links:
